Our Savior

Who is Jesus?  Have you ever really thought about it?  How would you find out more?

Throughout the centuries, many people have asked, “Who is Jesus?”  You can find a variety of answers to that question.  For instance, Jesus was a good teacher, a nice guy, a prophet, a man who died on the cross.  But is that all?

Are you willing to think about it some more?  Take some time to read the New Testament of the Bible and you’ll notice that Jesus loved people.  He befriended people from many walks of life and met them at their point of need.  Check out the account of the paralytic in Matthew 9:1-8.  It’s an amazing story of love and forgiveness.

Would you like to find out more about the love of Jesus?  Keep reading the Bible and see what Jesus is saying to you.  Here are a couple of examples:

  • “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28-NIV).
  • “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28-NIV).

Jesus still loves people!  Yes, He loves you even as you struggle with difficulties, weaknesses, and sins.  Jesus desires a relationship with you.  He wants to give you a new life.

This is his message for you:  “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16-NIV).

We encourage you to search the Bible to find out more about Jesus.  The Gospel of John is a great place to start.  In addition, seek out a community of Christians with whom to journey.  You are welcome to contact us to find out how we can journey together with Jesus.  God bless you all along the way!

Our Story

A core group of missionaries was sent by Community of Life-Oregon in September of 2013 to begin mission work in the Green Bay area.  They have been joined by other individuals and families who are growing in our relationship with Jesus, building relationships in our community, seeking community partnerships, and developing a mission team.  The mission plant is now known as RAIZED.  We are part of The 2:47 Network, which is growing as a dynamic network of Christ-centered communities.  Our partner churches in the Network include: Community of Life (Oregon, WI), The Bridge (Madison, WI), St. John (Luxemburg, WI), Spirit of Life (Mosinee, WI), and Xrossway (Twin Falls, ID).  We’re excited to see how God continues to multiply Christ-centered communities!

Our Heritage

RAIZED is a part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. At its core, this means that we accept the scriptural truths that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century and led to a renewed focus on the Gospel, the good news of Jesus. As a result, we uphold an extravagant and mysterious view of God’s love: that man is saved purely by God’s grace through faith alone, apart from works. We believe that God is so loving and powerful that he is actively working through the message of Jesus, as well as saving and sustaining broken men, women and children through his gifts of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that we are children of God, and that we are empowered to live out of our identity of sons and daughters of God.  If you have any more questions about who we are, please contact Eric Wenger at ewenger@livingraized.com. He would be glad to continue the conversation.
